BE AN INSTRUMENT OF MODIFICATION

                      Today, in this world of complexity, we can be instrument for modification. We can build this world a touch higher to measure in. Nothing may be considered sensible and dangerous before it’s outlined.  Therefore allow us to outline things hoping for good to happen. With hard work, perseverance, conviction and dedication let us designed up a united society. Let us allow patience and endurance to make each day a better day. Foreseeing the dreams of our parents let us do an attempt to instill in this world the moral values.

                     Our learning has brought us to current stage and it should further enable us to realize that we are all mortal and as long as we live in this world, would live in peace. In conjunction with the food, clothing and shelter, the education ought to be considered join of the fundamental wants. The role of education as an instrument of social change and cultural development is widely recognized today. Education may cause societal changes by bringing about a change in mindset and attitude of someone. It will bring about the change in the structure of interpersonal relationship and thereby it may make cultural change. It ought to be considered therefore, for while not education nothing is feasible immediately. On the other hand by being educated one can raise the hope of living higher, can become mentally strong, moreover one can live a life to full. Let us be “a tough mind and a tender heart”, as Martin Luther King Jr. says. In alternative to create this world a better place, it is our duty to show the way to produce soft rooms of our hearts, which will accommodate all kinds of individuals and be a medium for the unity not divide. If hate will bring any positive modification let's do this, however but if it does not, why do we nurture hate in our hearts? It is therefore, necessary on our part to create love in our societies, so the folks within the world may live in peace. One cannot compromise of something on any ground unless he or she could enough to forgive and forget. Forgiveness can heal incurable wounds in the community. In that sense it has become the greatest doctor, who can cure any type of diseases in the society. Today, when we look around we can see folks nurturing diseases of revenge. As a result of that we see all around us the broken relationships are the people, families, races, societies and countries. Therefore we constantly live in fear and doubts.

                   Down through the centuries the great thinkers and wise men have been teaching us that within us remains something natural power, which, once realized will do wanders in one's life. However, being an educated we should be able to realize that power. When we acquire that power we will obviously be able to judge everything rightly. When everything is being judged rightly there would be no more chaos and confusion in the society. Therefore, we should spend time and energy in achieving that power. The nature of our dependency on others tells us that we cannot live like an island. Children depend on their parents for their needs. Likewise parents in their old age depend on their children for their needs. However, dream continuous. The dreams of our parents remain with us and they expect and hope that their children do better than them. Man cannot be satisfied by bread alone, but by respect and acceptance in the society. In alternative to be revered and accepted within the society one should be a producer. In alternative to be a producer one should be a planter. Likewise, each planter ought to plant sensible seeds with the expectation of the good and bountiful harvest. Therefore we are going to be able to become an instrument of modification.

HOW I SEE THE NORTHEAST OF TOMORROW

               

Natural Beauty of N.E.

                        Northeast (N.E) is notable for its charming natural beauty, diverse culture, food, and in fact it's wonderful people, which features a rich history attached there to. Now coming to the question, “How I see the Northeast of Tomorrow?” Well, it is a tough question to answer but not impossible altogether. Northeast, a neighborhood of plentiful natural resources features a panorama of lovely landscape, placed during a strategic position for huge economic potentialities. Based on all of these, can we assess the particular position of North East altogether developmental issues whether political, social, or economic? Historically N.E had always remained isolated until it came under British rule. With this euphoria also come the dark reality of economic stagnation, corruption, lack of commercial pursuits, and therefore the most imminent problem of being neglected from the mainstream national identity. We as people of the northeast often encounter a psychological state, once we visit the opposite parts of the country. Indian's assertion about its secularism and pluralism always appeared to be an overrated statement and now the communal gap among India's fraternal communities appeared to be widening at an alarming pace. Most, unfortunately, the extent of institutionalized racism has been the maximum amount on the increase as per individually targeted racism throughout India. Instances of North easterners facing these prejudices are many. If the people of N.E are serious about stopping the racism and harassment which is occurring outside the region, we must first break the stereotypical outlook towards ethno cultural differentiation inside our region. In other words, one must imbibe a holistic approach to prevent discrimination and it should start from our courtyard.

                          Another acute problem of N.E is that the problem of insurgency. There are still a large number of active insurgents groups within the N.E, which may be a matter of worry for all. I see N.E to give peace an opportunity within the insurgency-ravaged region within the coming years. The pressing need of the day is to make ideal conditions for acceptance of the necessity for stabilization of the population. North East's public health sector is in urgent need of policies and regulatory frameworks to preserve it from maladies like pharma-regulator nexus, unethical practices, commercialization and urban biases.  Education should be made available within the remotest corners of N.E. to quote the lines of NELSON MANDELA-" Education is that the most powerful weapon which you'll use to vary the world", holds within the context of developing northeast within the upcoming years. This primarily needs a more competent syllabus at schools, vocational training of the scholars to a much bigger level, independent research works, government assistance rightly where needed, etc are some optimistic hopes we cherish for the longer term.

                        I hope of a time when the economic sector are going to be in its full growth, creating new avenues of employment, technical innovations, and ensuring a marked contribution within the GNP of the country, twenty years down the line; higher employment opportunities, locally produced or manufactured items famous worldwide, more government-based career option, more working population, zero people below the poverty level , zero mal-nourished children, no slum , strictly regulated food distribution facilities, no prevalence of corruption, well-connected network of roads and railways linking every corner of N.E within N.E also as India, N.E as a hotspot for tourists both domestically and internationally, North easterners free from all Superstitious believes, women free from prisons of patriarchy, zero human trafficking cases, a pollution-free region with more greenery, organic farming, more number of veterinary hospitals,  electricity, internet banking in both rural and concrete areas, etc. I see a peaceful, stable, and enlightened N.E politically, socially, and economically. The sole step to be taken is to tap these potentialities and fully utilize its resources- human, natural, or others, during a planned way, to make sure the progress of the region which many like us hope for. Development may be a continuous process of continuity and change; within the recent future, all problems of N.E can't be erased altogether. The region has such a potential to become a prosperous region, there seems no ambiguity in it. Everyone has to take responsibility together with government initiatives, taking all issues as common to all , forgetting all differences of faith , language, caste, colour, rich-poor, and every one other dividing agents, which has no qualitative value. Let us celebrate our diversity and work towards humanity and make N.E prosperous and peaceful for us and our progeny to reside.
